    Jill Ziegler

    Director of Sustainability, Brookfield Properties

    Jill shapes Brookfield Properties’ development group's position as a sustainability and corporate responsibility leader by designing and leading the organization’s Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) strategy, integrating ESG throughout the business, and communicating the company’s ESG performance to stakeholders. Prior to joining Brookfield Properties, Jill worked in corporate communications for Fortune 500 auto insurance company Progressive and was an environmental analyst at ERG, a mid-size consulting firm in the Washington, DC, area, where she counted the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency among her clients. A LEED Accredited Professional with 19 years of experience focused on sustainability and environmental protection, Jill serves on the Cleveland 2030 District Board (former chair), the national 2030 District Network Board, the Nareit Real Estate Sustainability Committee, Real Estate Roundtable’s Sustainability Policy Advisory Committee, and ULI Greenprint's Performance Committee. She received her BA from Miami University and holds a Masters degree in Public Administration/Environmental Science and Public Policy from George Mason University.

    Andy Bush

    Founder and Managing Partner, Morgan Creek Ventures

    Andrew Bush is the founder and Managing Partner of Morgan Creek Ventures, a real estate development and consulting group based in Boulder, Colorado. Over the past decade, Morgan Creek Ventures has developed a variety of sustainable real estate projects with a focus on creative office and residential infill opportunities. Their projects have received LEED Silver, Gold and Platinum level certifications and have included leading technologies in building management systems, green roofs, solar installations and water treatment. Andy’s current focus is on developing replicable models for commercial developers in the “Net Zero” building arena. He has recently completed Boulder Commons, his first Net Zero multi-tenant office. He was educated at the University of Wisconsin in Urban Planning and has served as a trustee and board member for a number of other real estate holding companies, redevelopment associations and family foundations. He is a regular speaker on the topic of urban development and sustainability issues.

    Lisa Phocas

    Director of Stewardship, Crescent Communities

    Lisa Richards is the Director of Stewardship at Crescent Communities, a market-leading real estate investor, developer, and operator of mixed-use communities with offices across the Southeast, Southwest, and Mid-Atlantic. Lisa attended the University of Toledo in Ohio, where she received her bachelor’s degree, as well as her Master of Business Administration. Prior to joining the Crescent Communities team in Charlotte, NC, she served as the Corporate Marketing Manager for Eastwood Homes for nine years. In 2015, Lisa accepted the role as Director of Marketing for Crescent Communities’ homebuilding business. Five years later, Lisa assumed the role of Director of Stewardship for Crescent Communities and now oversees the sustainability and wellness initiatives across the portfolio, as well as managing the company-wide community engagement efforts. A lifelong environmentalist, Lisa served on the board of directors for Sustain Charlotte for six years, three of which as the board chair. She is a member of the ULI Greenprint Committee and is currently a new board member for the Catawba Lands Conservancy. Additionally, she is certified as a Fitwel Ambassador, LEED AP, WELL AP, and maintains her real estate license in the state of North Carolina.
