One of the most resounding messages that emerged is that it’s a collective effort to positively promote the city. But sometimes it’s hard to find the right words.
That’s one reason we partnered with the Urban Land Institute of New Mexico and enlisted some heavy hitters in the community to help us come up with the ultimate elevator pitch for Albuquerque.
The roots of the project started in the fall of last year at a ULI-NM luncheon in Albuquerque. National researcher Maureen McAvey said one of the problems she saw in the Albuquerque community was that we didn’t know how to sell ourselves, tell our own stories and promote our successes.
